I was unsure of the look or durability of parawood, which I had by no means heard of in anticipation of now. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the desk is heavy, very solidly built and that the grain of the wood has a similar advent to rattan, but without the golden-haired hue. The carving of the legs looks so much more elegant in self--the set alight creates dramatic darkness that make the desk look much pricier than it in fact was. Don't let the "gathering essential" bullet frighten you--the only gathering involved is attaching all four legs to the tabletop with 8 bolts and washers by a hex wrench that was built-in with the hardware. It only took about 5 outline to set up by for myself.I will be by this desk as an all function dining/examine/work desk in the style of a Japanese chabudai, which I will exchange into a kotatsu in the winter months to cut my gas bill. For all of my intents & purposes, this desk has exceeded my expectations in every way I had hoped!

This table was just what I was hoping for but so much more. It's the perfect size to play a volatile game of RISK. Warning: It does need to be stained and polyurethaned. If not glasses will leave marks.
